Chess club is taught by experienced Silver Knights instructors using a curriculum developed by National Masters. Each weekly session is a mix of learning and play. Playing chess is a great way to develop a child’s critical thinking skills, sportsmanship, and patience — all while having fun!
Coming Soon… orders for field trip/class color t-shirts! These VERY inexpensive shirts are great for group identity when our children leave the CES building. They also become family heirlooms when handed down from child to child 🙂 Be on the lookout in backpack mail…!

This is not your mom’s PTA. We don’t have bake sales. We do raise a lot of money and spend it here, but our mission is to improve the educational environment for every student and to make parental involvement the basis of our presence. How do we do it? Through financial commitment, providing volunteers, providing family fun, and advocating on behalf of our school community.
The Mission of the PTA is:
To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
