Take the Plunge!
polar bearBased on each student reading 20 minutes per day, Mr.Greubel has challenged the students to collectively read 500,000 minutes between November 3rd and mid-January. Reaching this goal means that Mr. Greubel will take the Polar Bear Plunge.

Message from Amy Shinn: “Thank you for all of the offers to help tally the plunge minutes.  We thought the job was going to be a much bigger one than it turned out to be.  The students are turning in their calendars slowly which allows for us to tally up the minutes more easily.  We appreciate so much the support of the CES parents.  We will be in touch if we feel that we need more help.  Thank you, again.”

This is not your mom’s PTA. We don’t have bake sales. We do raise a lot of money and spend it here, but our mission is to improve the educational environment for every student and to make parental involvement the basis of our presence. How do we do it?  Through financial commitment, providing volunteers, providing family fun, and advocating on behalf of our school community.

The Mission of the PTA is:

• To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;

• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;

• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
