Central Elementary’s Fall Fundraising Programs:
Be on the lookout as this program will be kicking off soon, with packets coming home through backpack mail. We have a variety of programs to choose from for holiday gift giving or simply make a straight donation. Either way, we have something for everyone! MixedBag Designs and Razen Gift/Food catalogs will run for two weeks and is due to be turned in to your student’s homeroom teacher by October 9th, with delivery scheduled before the December holiday break.
Ms. S and Mrs. Morris are hard at work with our students creating some fantastic art for our Square1Art offering. Separate ordering forms will come home around November 3rdand will be due November 11th for the artwork. Artwork delivery will be in before the December holiday break too.
The theme this year is “Let your imagination fly…”. The National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Central PTA Reflections submissions are reviewed by experts in the visual, literary and performing arts. Judges look for personal interpretations on the program theme that best exemplify creativity and technical skill. All the works that are awarded First Place, move on to our county level for judging. Then those First Place recipients move to State and then National Level. Reflections 2015
This is not your mom’s PTA. We don’t have bake sales. We do raise a lot of money and spend it here, but our mission is to improve the educational environment for every student and to make parental involvement the basis of our presence. How do we do it? Through financial commitment, providing volunteers, providing family fun, and advocating on behalf of our school community.
The Mission of the PTA is:
- To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
