Back to School News: the evening of our first day
|Just a few notes….
*With our meeting on October 2 coming up – when we will vote on whether to move to being a PTO instead of a PTA – PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT NOR RETURN THE PTA MEMBERSHIP FORMS that came home in backpack mail today. Just recycle those – we’re sorry for our administrative blunder in sending them home. PLEASE JOIN US at Back to School Night on September 19, to learn about becoming a PTO, and then on October 2 to participate in the vote.
*Exrtracurriculars, extracurriculars….our Extracuriculars Chair, Robin Countryman, has been working hard to put together a great line-up of fall clubs and activities for CES families to consider. In case you’ve missed the info, here are the choices we have so far:
*Lastly, for tonight, please remember to sign-up for ParentSquare. Instructions are below, and we look forward to “seeing” you there!!!
Update on ParentSquare:
A county-wide memorandum released by the Board of Ed has restricted the use of certain applications, based on their terms of service. As such, we will not be using ParentSquare as a parent/teacher tool this year.
We WILL however, be using ParentSquare as a PTA communications hub to eventually replace this eBlast, the CES PTA Facebook page, and Sign Up genius. In the future, important school events dates/calendar, club announcements, fundraising opportunities AND PTA sign ups will occur within ParentSquare. All school PTA information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text, or you can download the free app (iphone & android) which allows you to quickly view upcoming events!
